Oklahoma City Sees Improvement in Unemployment Rate

For March, the Oklahoma City MSA had an unemployment rate of 4% according to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This represents a decent decline from February’s adjusted rate of 4.9%.
This also represents one of the lowest unemployment rates in the U.S. For major metros of more than 1 million in population, Oklahoma City’s rate is the fourth-lowest in the country. For comparison, the national unemployment rate was 6%. On the state level, unemployment stayed relatively flat at 4.2% (it was 4.4% the month prior).
