Policygenius recently analyzed 250 cities on a variety of factors, including economic health, income, cost of living, number of "fun" businesses (defined as "bars, restaurants, and other entertainment venues"), the population of 20-34s as well as the labor force participation and employment rates for that group and more to determine the top cities for young professionals in 2022. OKC ranked in the top 10% of all cities examined.
The authors mentioned Oklahoma City's 2,104 "fun" businesses, low unemployment, and low costs of living as being particularly attractive along with an 82.5% labor force participation rate of 20-34-year-olds and 76.2% employment rate among that group, both higher than the average rate across all cities analyzed.
