Every year, employees can nominate their employer for this prestigious award. Nominations fall into categories by business size: Large (350 or more employees), Midsize (125 to 349 employees), and Small (less than 125 employees). With 86 employees, Homes By Taber, is the only business in the real estate industry to make the Top 20 among Small Businesses.

Every nominee was closely evaluated to a scale of specific criteria:

The corporate culture holds much more weight in the decision than salary and benefits.
“Statements relating to ‘Connection’ and ‘Alignment’ are consistently judged most important to employees, while statements about pay and benefits rate least important to workplace satisfaction,” the publication reported.
