Derrick and Rebecca Hayes sent the following email to our Customer Care Department and it was apparent that this was just the type of experience we wanted other prospective homeowners to see. We are honored to share their message of appreciation towards our team and thankful they took the time to share their story. Welcome to the Taberhood, Derrick and Rebecca!
"I was unsure as to who to send this email to but below is a list of thanks and appreciation from Rebecca Hayes and I. We were hoping you could forward to all parties to show our gratitude and job well done, not only to those involved but those in the top ranks so they know the staff and contractors that they hire really put forth a tremendous effort in building, not only our first home, but our dream home.
When we first secured the contract with our home, it was in the beginning stages of being built with just a slab and framed walls. Our first point of contact was [our community salesman.] Throughout the entire build process, [our salesperson] maintained a strong line of communication by providing updates, pictures, and answered all of our questions or concerns that arose giving us a feeling of confidence and relief during the build, even if the questions we had seemed far fetched. [Our salesperson's] communication really made us feel like we had a huge involvement and a front row seat with the building of our home. We are forever thankful for his professionalism and kindness.
As the build progressed, Rebecca and I sorted through the many gorgeous options and upgrades that were available to us prior to the meeting with the design center. The design team communicated quickly with options and suggestions for preparing for our meeting, which helped tremendously. We drove around several Taber communities, obtained numerous color samples, and researched the internet thoroughly to help narrow down our decisions. When we showed up to our meeting at the design center, we had a binder full of different ideas but still was undecided. When we met with our designer, she assisted us by piecing different samples together showing us different variations with what ideas we had brought and helping us come to the final decisions. During this meeting, it was very obvious that she loves her job and is very passionate about helping folks with their home design. Her efforts, ideas, and critical thinking during our meeting seemed like she was helping design a home of her own. When we walked into our finished home seeing the colors, options, and upgrades we chose, it turned out even better than what we envisioned or hoped for. All thanks to the assistance and compassion [our designer] displayed making our dreams come to life.
During the build, the superintendent and others, consistently made appearances in the neighborhood checking the status of not only our home but the other projects as well. When I would drive the neighborhood either early in the morning or late in the evening these guys were the first in the area at the start of the day, and the last ones to leave at the end of the day. During our first and final walk throughs, [the superintendent] and his team as well as the Customer Care team handled concerns and answered questions in a rapid manner, as well as addressing items from the inspection that we had done. Going even above what we wanted addressed, and letting us know the timeline for corrections and touch ups.
On the day of closing, we were welcomed into our new home, with the most thoughtful and beautiful presentation. From the red ribbon on the front door to the welcome mat, and the move-in bag filled with necessities (which came in very handy that day), to the fireplace going as it was ridiculously cold, everyone takes an extra value added step from start to finish.
These extra efforts from everyone involved helped us feel confident in not only our purchase, but showed us that everyone takes immense pride in their work from those directly employed by Homes by Taber, as well as the sub contractors used to build the home. Even the smallest discrepancy was taken seriously and addressed, showing that you do not have to have a "custom" built home to enjoy solid craftsmanship. We cannot emphasize enough the appreciation for the constant communication from everyone and working with our realtor to make this process as smooth as possible. We never dreamed building a home would be so fluid and seamless, but it proves it can be done when everyone takes pride and ownership in the work they do. Keep up the good work and we can't wait to build a mountain of memories in our new home.
Sincerely and great appreciation,
Derrick and Rebecca Hayes "
